In the immediate local area there is the Ferrycroft Visitor Centre, the lovely Pier Restaurant where you can dine overlooking Loch Shin, the Falls of Shin salmon ladder (pic in gallery in next section).  Lairg has two local ‘mini’ supermarkets and a garage. Within a short drive in most directions you can find many super restaurants and bars.  Lairg is right in the heart of the North Highlands making trips to all the coastlines easy with many activities supported; see [day trips].

  • NC500 Base – ideal base to visit all the main North Coast 500 attractions.
  • Safe for Children, enclosed and peaceful but plenty to look at, play with and do – high chair and cot available too.
  • Spacious Rooms – comfortable to relax in with great lounge with log burning fire the on way to the decking.
  • Close by to Petrol, 2 local Village ‘mini’ Supermarkets and larger shops only ½ hour’s drive with pub and 2 restaurants in Lairg itself (we particularly recommend the Pier, set alongside Loch Shin in central lairg).
